Dear Brookdale School Families,

It is my honor and a pleasure to welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year! I hope you all have had an enjoyable summer break and you were able to relax and make special memories with your friends and families that will last a life time! I am extremely proud to serve as the Principal of Brookdale Elementary to support the students, faculty/staff, and parents of such an amazing learning community! This year, the Brookdale Elementary School theme remains, “Brookdale Eagles S.O.A.R High - Safety, Opportunities, Academics, Respect.” We will infuse this concept in all that we do to ensure our students are happy, engaged, learning, and thriving. We will continue to strive for academic excellence and social and emotional well-being for our students while looking through a lens of equity and inclusion.

Brookdale is such a special place for all students to learn and grow. We are proud of our school and have high expectations for each and every student. Our students are kind, compassionate, and eager to learn. Together with our dedicated faculty and staff, we strive to make connections with students to help them feel valued, accepted, and safe. Our overarching goal is to encourage active student engagement and academic success that will foster a lifetime love for learning and a true sense of connectedness and belonging for our students.

Moreover, instruction at Brookdale will be focused on the content and skills students need to learn grade level standards while providing the appropriate strategies and tools needed to grasp concepts. We will provide all students with quality and differentiated learning experiences that will ensure student proficiency in core academic subjects. Data analysis will be imperative to refining and guiding rigorous instruction, providing standards aligned assessments, providing individualized intervention, and increasing teacher professional growth and knowledge. Working together will create a solid foundation for our students so that they have the opportunity to become self-directed learners, collaborative teammates, critical thinkers, and productive citizens.

We will look to our families to be positive partners in their children’s educational journey. Partnering with families is crucial to promote a healthy connection between the school and home environment. We will always put the best interests of our students at the center of our purpose.
